Family History Holidays

We are aware that many people come to Dumfries and Galloway to research and visit their family history connections. Along with our associates throughout the region, we offer to assist with your enquiries.

We have carried out some experience research in the past, including visits to New Register House, Edinburgh and only last year arranged a cycling holiday for a couple from Hawaii who visited Sorbie Tower, the clan home of the Hannay family.

We have limited time in our holiday business now to carry out research therefore we have associates who are experienced in this area.

What we are able to do is to plan and research any significant places found following research and to visit and/or design a route or tour in preparation for enquirers or visitors. We are able to arrange escorted tours if required

We are accredited with the Visitscotland Ancestral Tourism Scheme and undertake to follow their Code of Conduct.
