Accommodation List
Accommodation List
We already use a large number of tried and tested accommodation partners throughout Dumfries and Galloway region with our cycling holidays business.
Visitscotland Accredited
Most of our recommended accommodation – from B&B’s (bed and breakfast houses) to the region’s top hotels are Visitscotland accredited - the star rating system is included in a summary of each accommodation place which we have the listed below.
Some of these premises are also included in the Visitscotland Walkers and Cyclists Welcome Schemes where drying facilites, packed lunches etc are provided.
Other Equally Good Accommodation Recommended by Us
We also recommend other excellent accommodation places which have opted out of the Visitscotland accreditation scheme. They are often listed on other on-line accommodation provider listings. Other excellent B&B’s which we use have limited if any marketing and survive with local or repeat visitor recommendation.
Up to Date Knowledge
With our local knowledge of the area, we are aware of current accommodation reputations - which can change from year to year, often due to the ever increasing trend of premises changing owner or manager.
Although we have listed the accommodation places below under 7 geographical Areas (to correspond to our walks menus), we would recommend the best place for the specific break or holiday you require.
We currently only list the accommodation places we have used on our cycling holidays. We of course have knowledge of other places with a good reputation and will amend our list accordingly. We can also arrange other accommodation you may prefer or be aware of by some other means.
The List Below
Please note we only supply brief outline comments for each accommodation at this stage - to give you an idea of what is on offer.
By using our service, we use our local knowledge and experience to combine the accommodation provision along with the other holiday ingredients to make the best mix for an activity break.
VisitScotland Grading System
